it was some time ago

i vaguely remember the last time i stood with my eyes closed and listen to the sound of rain drops bouncing off the leaves and grasses when the world around me goes quiet. the music of nature heals as it calms my spirit and relaxes my soul. it's surprising that with the busy pace of life that we lead, small things such as this goes unnoticed.

and on my way home this evening driving pass a field of grass glittering from the rain drops, the sky was paint brushed with a shade of delicious orange that was somehow filled with feelings of a tough day coming to an end. as the light casted shadows of grey on the clouds that scattered around after a light drizzle, the building standing in the distance was slightly silhouetted.

just two weeks back i found myself enjoying a korean dinner with a few of my friends and what memories it has brought back for me. i remember well the time in shanghai i when i had my first authentic korean feast in the midst of a wintry night with my colleagues. the aroma of grilling meat and awesome bibim bap somehow makes me realised how priceless memories are.

during tough times memories of those better days pushes me on for i know that nothing lasts and soon the good old times will return once more.
