Tired feets happy hearts
Today was the second STUMP event that was organized by my course's interest group. The "amazing race" was rather disappointing this time round as there was changes to how the game was planned. Instead of collecting points as we move from station to station and completing several tasks or solving the clues, every group had to get to the same stations and it was a competition on who has the quickest route. Well there was also the intellectual factor too. The first game had rest stops and even a time period where by we can go anywhere through proper planning to collect points, definitely much more creative and interesting.
Competition was tough man especially with some legs of the race where the playing field was leveled out with eight group waiting for the bus to labrador park. That park was a killer man, the steps down the cliff side to the park just made our sorry feet and legs more tired. before that we made a trip to chinatown area to find some temple, oh i just love the shop houses along club street and the several other streets there, with the sun casting shades and shadows, it was god for taking nice photos but due to the race we were like ikimasho! and dotting to some other places.
after the race we had to settle one major issue, the hunger that we are enduring since we didn't have lunch. surprisingly all of us had the strength to run with just water that kept us going. din tai feng must have felt our presence with fried rice for all, two bowls of sour and spicy soup, two baskets of xiao long bao and some other side dishes ending with desserts. we sat there eating and talking, i almost forgot the feeling of the aches in my legs until i stood up and there was this strain. i guess it's time for me to start really jogging and swimming more often.
And oh, we came in second in the race ;)
