Halloween... I wanna my Jack-O-Lantern

Halloween... I wanna my Jack-O-Lantern

Just a few more minutes and my apple pie will be done... Man i didn't know a humble apple pie can be kinda difficult... Celebrating a little autumn here in Singapore... Some people just lost the little touches... a humble apple pie can bring joy into many in places like say Australia or even Switzerland especially now...

I actually wanted to carve a pumpkin to celebrate Halloween... Sad~ there was no pumpkin!!! all the store have are those small rough type... oh man... i wanna lament and cry... What, no pumpkin??? If i was in some European or American States... there will be a big feast full of autumn food... pies roast chicken... soup and of course... Treat or Trick? Imagine the pavements and roadside of houses lined with Jack-O-Lanterns... Have you ever heard the story for the lanterns??? bet many of you don't know...

One day, he tricked the Devil into climbing up an apple tree. Once the Devil climbed up the apple tree, Jack hurriedly placed crosses around the trunk of the tree. The Devil was then unable to get down the tree. He thus made the Devil promise him not to take his soul when he died. Once the devil promised not to take his soul, the crosses were removed the Devil was able to climb down.

Many years later, when Jack finally died, he went to the pearly gates of Heaven and was told by Saint Peter that he was too mean and too cruel and had led a miserable and worthless life on earth. He was not allowed to enter heaven. He then went down to Hell and the Devil. The Devil kept his promise and would not allow him to enter Hell. Now Jack was scared and had nowhere to go but to wander about forever in the darkness between heaven and hell. He asked the Devil how he could leave as there was no light. The Devil tossed him an ember from the flames of Hell to help him light his way. Jack placed the ember in a hollowed out Turnip, one of his favorite foods which he always carried around with him whenever he could steal one. For that day onward, Stingy Jack roamed the earth without a resting place, lighting his way as he went with his "Jack O'Lantern~

* i have no idea how the turnip became a pumpkin...

My apple pie is done.. time to enjoy my fruits of labour...

Magic aS we Dun kNow it...

Magic aS we Dun kNow it...

Today was one sleepy day for me... For those who know, the kind of feeling when u start reading a book and it's just too good to be place aside and go to bed. It all started at 11pm Singapore Standard Time that i read the first page of this particular book called City of The Beast by Isabel Allende... It all started when Alexender got send to New York to spend time with his grandmother Kate, who's a journalist and has travelled around the world. his mother had fallen ill with cancer and his father, a doctor was gonna bring her to Texas to recieve more high quality treatment... How wonderful isn't it... except that this grandmother of his ain't your regular grandmother... Who will go and use a syring to draw out honey from those honey filled chocolates and fill them with tobasco sauce and send them over as christmas presents for christmas... Or horrify Alex and his two sisters on stories she accumulated on her journeys around the world and insisted that the lights be turned off~

But well, he ended up in Kate's house and they are set to go off into the Amazon forest as Kate has been invited to write for Nat Geo. about this beast that was seen which emits a horendous odour that will send all fainting flat on the spot... and so the story goes and he made friends with a girl by the name of Nadia... Half Canadian & Amazonian??? there he met a witch man named Walimai and thus began their adventure to find the beast... Along the way they got kipnapped by the People of the Mist... indians who moved like ghost with no sound... appearing and disappearing without notice... They climbed rocks behind waterfalls and then deep into the forest until they came to a place no one knew... the Eye of the World a village by these indians... who practised traditions which now are still not discovered and ancient secrets that no one even knew existed... From here they go on a journey... the mountain of the gods where they saw creatures such as a dragon and little did they know that there were 11 beasts.. not just one! and they talk.. the language used byt he mist people!...

I really recommand this book... its magic has as much life as the forest itself... this shows how much we still do know know about the wonders of our planet... the practise of such ancient traditions and the use of the forest to their advantage while making little or no negative impact at all~~~

Went to school and before that, ate at Yakun toast... i am never gonna eat there again... Went to Han wen's house and slack a little before reading some S.S and went home at 3.30... Was supposed to call the Australian High Comission but instead went to sleep and well... i really have to start doing some intensive revision... L1R5... 13 points... against O level standards.. i think i'll get a 15 or so... hungry and sleepy... there's work to do.. but i dun have the mind to do... ~~~

When tHe night wind starTs t0 sing a loNesom3 lullaBy

Tonight the wind is extremely crisp and cool... perfect for a winter night out in the snow covered forest... Sounds like a paragraph from some story book, Hahaz... I really hope that on the day i leave for Down Under, there will be rain and the wind will fly swiftly... i love leaving on a rainy day... I have yet to make reservations for my hostel and i am in a dilemma whether or not to go on a 4days/3nights hike in the Blue Mountains National Park... choices, i am spolit for choice~

I have noticed of late that the budget carrier industry is getting even more competitive and seems that premium carriers are gonna feel some pinch... If Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Emirates were to team up and go into an alliance, they will be a force to be reckon with man... In my opinion, SIA should play a little more competitive in terms of their performance and products... They should start opening more routes and get more freedom rights to launch destinations from important major cities... Valuair should just crash and disappear... Tiger Airways should get a new nose job and partner with Jetstar Asia, and about Air Asia, they should just keep out of Singapore and really get new aircrafts... Shoot down that flying bus and get the 737NGs... i just love Southwest Airlines... 405 737s... and their relation with their employees are just great! Someone mentioned this before and i must say it again... Boeing made and sold more 737s as compared to the number of aircrafts Airbus made. i am rooting for the 777s... Keep it up Singapore Airlines... get another hundred or so 777s~

Found some study time today... Social Studies and hahaz maths... i just can do any more physics... someone please get me some challenging questions... Singapore should raise its currency strength just a little, travelling is getting a little expensive... I still have not recieve that letter to apply for first three months of JC... wonder should i go to poly or JC, both are equally attractive...

I have just completed this great book today... well slept at 2.30am last night, just can't put it down. Andrian Mole: The Wilderness Years... man it was funny and interesting... i seriously consider starting a daily journal... and laugh my heads off in the future when i start reading them... but i need a fabulous book, one which have a old and ancient look, one which is mysterious and grand...

my next travel destination is Switzerland... Who wanna come along~

Oh man~ I wanna take flight...

Oh man~ I wanna take Flight

My first "O" levels paper will be in four days time... And to tell the truth, i really have no life to continue to work as i have did for my prelims. How i wish to just rot and go into a daze until my papers arrive... Part of me says to go on and get it over and done with, the other says to just let go... sometimes letting go it really the best thing to do~

I have decided to cancel the Bangkok trip to attend the 6th Asian Symphonic Band Competition... To the disappointment of many people who want me to go... But i've let them down... Sad... reason are only for me to believe... others may call it excuses, other will accept it but in their minds call it crap. I am who i think i am~

I was looking at pictures a few days ago.. thinking of all the things that happen and a small event will lead to a change in situation... The SYF 2004 photos still bring tears to my eyes when i think about the times we went through and when we got what we want... Tears of joy... Some picstures are give out such warmth of friendship... that seems to have disappeared now, or have i not recognise them anymore~

While enjoying the wind a while ago... I have decided what i wanna in life... We only live once and if i do not accomplish what my hearts desire, i'll never be able to get them done ever... I wanna take my camera and travel to places, capturing moments that are special and beautiful... for these moments are precious and priceless... I wanna be a pilot and work in the clouds... I wanna perfect my pastry skills... I wanna crave out a lifetime unique to me... I have chosen my path to take... My friends, have you~
