Magic aS we Dun kNow it...

Magic aS we Dun kNow it...

Today was one sleepy day for me... For those who know, the kind of feeling when u start reading a book and it's just too good to be place aside and go to bed. It all started at 11pm Singapore Standard Time that i read the first page of this particular book called City of The Beast by Isabel Allende... It all started when Alexender got send to New York to spend time with his grandmother Kate, who's a journalist and has travelled around the world. his mother had fallen ill with cancer and his father, a doctor was gonna bring her to Texas to recieve more high quality treatment... How wonderful isn't it... except that this grandmother of his ain't your regular grandmother... Who will go and use a syring to draw out honey from those honey filled chocolates and fill them with tobasco sauce and send them over as christmas presents for christmas... Or horrify Alex and his two sisters on stories she accumulated on her journeys around the world and insisted that the lights be turned off~

But well, he ended up in Kate's house and they are set to go off into the Amazon forest as Kate has been invited to write for Nat Geo. about this beast that was seen which emits a horendous odour that will send all fainting flat on the spot... and so the story goes and he made friends with a girl by the name of Nadia... Half Canadian & Amazonian??? there he met a witch man named Walimai and thus began their adventure to find the beast... Along the way they got kipnapped by the People of the Mist... indians who moved like ghost with no sound... appearing and disappearing without notice... They climbed rocks behind waterfalls and then deep into the forest until they came to a place no one knew... the Eye of the World a village by these indians... who practised traditions which now are still not discovered and ancient secrets that no one even knew existed... From here they go on a journey... the mountain of the gods where they saw creatures such as a dragon and little did they know that there were 11 beasts.. not just one! and they talk.. the language used byt he mist people!...

I really recommand this book... its magic has as much life as the forest itself... this shows how much we still do know know about the wonders of our planet... the practise of such ancient traditions and the use of the forest to their advantage while making little or no negative impact at all~~~

Went to school and before that, ate at Yakun toast... i am never gonna eat there again... Went to Han wen's house and slack a little before reading some S.S and went home at 3.30... Was supposed to call the Australian High Comission but instead went to sleep and well... i really have to start doing some intensive revision... L1R5... 13 points... against O level standards.. i think i'll get a 15 or so... hungry and sleepy... there's work to do.. but i dun have the mind to do... ~~~
