The Phantom Dines

I wanna thank all those who dine at RITS on thursday for supporting us. all our efforts paid off well especially to those who stayed up all night to prepare all the props and menu and cookies. Sigh, i will really miss all these people. working with time both in the kitchen last semester and now in the restaurant was really enjoyable. well what do you expect when our group's the most zai one in the week. With teamwork and effort nothing gets in our way.

The cookie factory was in operations once again on wednesday night, one person to roll the dough into small balls, another to make the dent, another to fill the dent with jam and the last person to wrap the cookies. I have to say that we wrapped the cookies till they looked like some lunar new year goodies instead of some english tea time cookies.

While making the cookies, i took a walk to mcdonalds to get some food as i was hungry after the irritating french test which totally screwed my brains and made me feel like shit. As it was nearing 2am, the staff had to fry a new batch of fries and when i took one to eat, holly potatoes. fries never tasted so good, it was still hot and in hot and the taste was like never before and did i mention the smell, anyway the aroma was superb.

When all the arts and craft things were done, the number of bags we had to heave down to the road side made it seem as though we were going for some camp. thankfully we manage to get a taxi after 20mins. Like wth, it's so difficult to get a taxi at 630am and there was this bitch who stood further up the road all so ready to snatch a taxi, i hope she just dies man.

Caught up with some sleep in the taxi and when we arrived at TAS, everyone was like, ok lets go change and start. the whole team was like coming in at different times but nevertheless we set up everything in time. Oh i had the pleasure to write the menu on the chalk board and i have never ever wrote it so nicely and neatly before. Believe me, i used all the strength i've got to make the words bold and to control the chalk.

The restaurant was fully booked but somehow the guests arrived at a staggered timing and so the people inside didn't have any major problems. One major concern was that someone will push the glass door from inside and rip the curtain off the hook and spoil the whole damn decoration but thankfully nothing of that sort happened. There was some last minute decisions like wait staff having to tie a petite ribbon acting as a "bow tie" and believe me, it was really cute.

My cookies were all sold out man and yeah, they were great. we could have sold them at a higher price but oh well. Felix created two delicious mocktails in 30mins because the cranberry juice smells like petroleum and hence the original ones had to have the recipe edited. and yeah they sold well.

all in all, revenue was $910.25 ;)
