over time

how much thought, makes up indecisiveness
sometimes we give the issue so much thought
and the simplicity of making a decision
leave us clueless as to what we want

i used to make decisions and never look back
but those were simple decisions then
now it seems there are numerous things to consider
or am i giving it too much thought

i know myself too well that at times its weird
with my eyes i observe and i know
only that i chose to turn a blind eye
at the end of the line, i am alone

what happens when time is not on my side
there's some issues that needs settling
the consequences, i am not that courageous
maybe the time has come for me to have regrets

but life goes on; i run away
