of story books

i was reading harry potter and damn he survived through the end, why the book's a bloody children book and happy endings are critical i guess. Nevertheless my desire to read and pass time saw me splurging over a hundred singapore dollars on five books and yet the one i was intending to read, "the kingdom of the golden dragon" by allende isabel i never find in kinokuniya. a disappointment it seems as i expected the store to carry it in its stock of countless titles. Oh well it means i am gonna order.
the march holidays have unofficially began and as compared to many other saturdays, orchard road is definitely more crowded. i needed a place to read for hours and have a cuppa coffee undisturbed by the passing of time, the need for shops and shopping malls to close their cashiers and call i a day, the airport was never a better place. but for the love of peace and quiet the airport was also somewhat more happening than usual and by 9pm i expected the people at coffeebean to disappear but it did not happen, it's a saturday.
belgian chocolate ice blended, a first for me in the history that coffeebean operated in singapore after being recommended by a friend of mine who loves chocolate. i sat and began my endless reading. at times as i look around taking a break from all that gazing down i saw in front of me the empty seat facing me and wonder how nice it will be for that special someone to sit in the sofa reading too. a coffee table for two is never complete without two person and with me sitting alone it seems weird as the people around me come and go while i remain rooted for hours.
i seem to be holding on to my sanity as the four walls of my room seem to be able to hold me no longer. i wanna be alone away from my family and for the first time in years the thought of travelling makes me feel tired. the planning and reservations needed, oh my.
